Hydro-Gas Couplings has been a trusted name since its establishment on June 26, 1963. Originally focusing on manufacturing dry break couplings for the Oil, Petroleum, and Tanker Industries, we’ve evolved over the years. In 1983, Karl Häring took over the company, marking a new chapter in our journey.
Expanding our offerings, we began producing a diverse range of Pneumatic, Manual Lubrication, and Liquid Transfer Equipment to cater to a wider range of industries. From our humble beginnings in Booysens Reserve, where we initially operated from rented premises, to our current 2000 sqm factory in Wadeville, Germiston, we’ve grown and adapted to better serve our customers.
Our focus gradually shifted towards Lubrication & Liquid Transfer Equipment, which has become our core business. To align more closely with this market segment, we registered ‘LUBECONSULT’ as a trade name, while ‘HYCO’ remains the registered trademark of our equipment.
A significant aspect of our offering is that 75% of our equipment is manufactured locally in South Africa, ensuring quality and reliability. Our Manual Lubrication solutions cater to a wide array of industries across Southern Africa and selected overseas markets. From mining and construction to agriculture, fishing, and general industries, as well as certain O.E.M’s, our products serve diverse needs.

In July 2018, Karl Häring, our former leader, sadly passed away. The company is now under the management of Debbie and Craig Häring. They are dedicated to upholding the high quality standards of our lubrication equipment, which is widely utilized across various industries and equipment.
